Claudia is Spanish/English. During the summer of 1998, Claudia volunteered as an english and computer teacher at the Beit Atfal Assomoud centre in Bourj Al Shamali. Since then, Claudia and Mahmoud have kept in touch. In 2002, Claudia planned the project and organised a number of events in order to raise the money for the project, carried out in September 2002.

Mahmoud (Abu Wassim) is Palestinian and runs the Beitfal Assomoud Center at Bourj Al Shamali. He is the father of five and is always working to improve the living conditions at Bourj Al Shamali.
